Lee Sol-yi posted a long message on her social media on the 25th, stating, "I came to log out of daily life for a moment because I have nowhere to put my restless heart ahead of my 2.5-year checkup this beloved summer."
Lee Sol-yi continued, "As I looked through the comments, I was deeply moved by each of the affectionate and concerned hearts, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude."
She expressed her feelings, saying, "Being able to openly share these fearful and imperfect emotions that I have hidden away for so long is a great comfort."
Lee Sol-yi also expressed her gratitude to those who supported her, saying, "As the sun will soon set, I wanted to express my thanks before it does. Create many beautiful memories on this romantically endless summer night and be happy. I will say goodbye for a few days."
Earlier, in February, Lee Sol-yi revealed that she had been diagnosed with women's cancer and was undergoing treatment, which added to the heartbreak.
At that time, Lee Sol-yi shared her pain regarding the flood of malicious comments after appearing on the SBS entertainment program "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny," stating, "After resigning, while I was naturally preparing for a child, I was diagnosed with cancer after 5 months. Due to the nature of women's cancer, I was unable to have children, and I felt so guilty to my parents and in-laws for not being able to protect my health. Since the nature of the cancer was not good, I faced great frustration not knowing if I could live for 1 year or 3 years."
Lee Sol-yi stated, "I underwent surgery and cytotoxic chemotherapy for six months, had to be careful when going out, couldn't eat properly, vomited every day, lost weight, my skin deteriorated, and my hair fell out… I endured a truly difficult time going back and forth to the emergency room. I am still receiving treatment while taking medication," adding, "So I could not have a child, and that situation continues even now."
Lee Sol-yi expressed the pain caused by continued malicious comments and her complicated feelings, ultimately revealing her cancer battle to correct distorted perceptions. Since then, she has been consistently sharing her daily life and communicating with her followers.
