In KBS2's "Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears," Lee Soon-sil will unveil the "North Korean-style meal set" for the first time in the world.
KBS 2TV's "Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears" (directed by Ahn Sang-eun, hereafter referred to as 'Boss's Ears') is a voluntary exchange and introspection program aimed at creating a workplace where people can enjoy their work. In its last episode, the viewership rating peaked at 7.7%, maintaining its position as the number one entertainment show in its time slot for 164 consecutive weeks.
In the upcoming 316th episode of "Boss's Ears" airing on the 27th (Sunday), Lee Soon-sil will reveal the "North Korean-style meal set," which has never been showcased anywhere in the world. The meal set includes six courses, featuring speed war powder rice cakes, Pyongyang-style sundae and radish pancakes, soybean curd stew, roe kimbap and imitation meat rice, nurungji tea, and tomato bingsu, which sparks curiosity.
In particular, Lee Soon-sil will present radish pancakes decorated with flower patterns made of red chili peppers and crown daisy, evoking cheers. Unlike her usual bold personality, she has prepared this with great care. Moreover, she will showcase the speed war powder rice cakes made from corn flour, saying, "In North Korea, sugar is precious. So, it is called speed war rice cake because it is eaten with saccharin and salt water right on the spot," while putting the rice cake in her mouth, capturing everyone's attention.
However, the incident begins with the nurungji tea where the nurungji got burned. When there isn't enough time to make a new batch of the nurungji tea that has a burnt smell, Lee Soon-sil nonchalantly says, "Nurungji is originally supposed to have a burnt smell," and humorously adds, "You are all eating something unusual that no one has tasted before." In response, Jun Hyun-moo and Park Myung-soo chime in unison, saying, "It really is unusual," creating a shared understanding.
Meanwhile, everyone is dismayed by the appearance of the tomato bingsu, which was forgotten in the fridge and ended up sitting at room temperature for a long time, causing all the ice to melt. In response, Park Myung-soo urges, "Quickly scoop it out and serve it before the ice melts," showing his apprehension about Lee Soon-sil's hurried "North Korean-style meal set."
