Kang Han-na captivates not only the tyrant but also the viewers with her enchanting atmosphere in 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.'
The new tvN weekend drama 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' (directed by Jang Tae-yu, written by fGRD) will premiere on Aug. 23 at 9:10 p.m. It is a survival fantasy romantic comedy where a chef who time slips to the best moment encounters the worst tyrant, who is also a master of taste.
In the drama, Kang Han-na plays the role of Kang Mok-joo, the concubine of Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min), the heir of Yeonhui-gun. Kang Mok-joo is breathtakingly beautiful and talented in poetry, painting, and music, capturing the heart of a king who doesn't trust anyone. She has positioned herself as a powerful figure within the palace, backed by the king's favor.
Although she is the only one capable of controlling the violent tyrant's rampage, an endless ambition to seize power using such a king lurks within Kang Mok-joo. It raises curiosity whether Kang Mok-joo, who employs any means necessary to obtain what she wants, can actually achieve her goals.
The released photos capture the contrast of Kang Mok-joo, who hides her dark thoughts behind a glamorous smile. While she presents a pure face in front of the king and royal ministers, she reveals sharp thorns when alone. Her piercing gaze shines even in the darkness, filled with intense ambition for power, drawing more attention to Kang Mok-joo's actions.
In particular, Kang Mok-joo's bold rush from the lowest to the highest will be portrayed with even more immersion through Kang Han-na's passionate performance. Kang Han-na, who has expressed various characters from being a symbol of ambition that spares no effort to become a queen to a determined woman struggling for her father's revenge in previous works, raises expectations for the tumultuous life story of the Kang Mok-joo character she will complete.
