Singer Kim Jaejoong surprised fans by sharing memories of his ex-girlfriend, with whom he once had a meeting with their families.
On the 25th episode of KBS2's Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, a conversation from Kim Jaejoong's family was revealed about him becoming 'the first grandfather among idols' following the news that his nephew is expecting a child.
Kim Jaejoong said, "When my nephew's baby is born, will I really become a grandfather?" His father laughed and replied, "You already are a grandfather now." In response, his mother cautiously said, "I wasn't going to talk to you about marriage, but don't you think you should get married too?" His nephews and nieces chimed in, saying, "Uncle said he doesn't have a girlfriend but is trying to get one," prompting Kim Jaejoong to attempt to change the subject with song.
Then, Kim Jaejoong confessed, "I really did have a girlfriend," and his mother joked, "Are they fans again?" In response, Kim Jaejoong said, "It was a long time ago," and his mother reminisced, asking, "Is it the girl who came to our house?"
Surprisingly, Kim Jaejoong revealed, "I was a middle school student back then" and "I met her through chatting during the PC communication era. We even had a meeting with both parents." His mother recalled, "She was a pretty and virtuous girl. She must have gotten married by now," reminiscing fondly. She added with a smile, "You can contact her even now," and Kim Jaejoong joked, "The girl I went to the amusement park with 20 years ago, tips are welcome."
The studio continued to buzz with a cheerful atmosphere from Kim Jaejoong's unexpected love story.
