Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo will become a married man, following Eric, Jeon Jin, and Andy.
On the 25th, Lee Min-woo shared the marriage news, stating on his social media, "During the recent difficult times when I was mentally exhausted, I spent a lot of time with my family, which made me reflect on the importance of family. I had a vague desire to one day build my own home where we support each other. In the meantime, I confirmed mutual feelings with a precious acquaintance whom I have known for a long time, and we decided to become a family."
He added, "I really struggled with how to convey this news and found it difficult to pick up the pen. However, I thought about Shinhwa Changjo, who might feel disappointed and upset if they find out this news somewhere else, and I wanted to share it first, even if in a clumsy way. I want to be congratulated by Shinhwa Changjo, who I cherish the most, so I hope this heartfelt message brings you warmth and blessings."
As of this, Lee Min-woo becomes the fourth married man in the team after Eric, Jeon Jin, and Andy.
Lee Min-woo, who personally informed fans of his marriage through a handwritten letter, said, "There will be other changes in my life, but with the love of Shinhwa Changjo and my family as my motivation, I promise to continue my activities as Lee Min-woo, whether on stage or anywhere else. Meanwhile, Lee Min-woo suffered significant damage after being defrauded by a friend of his sister, referred to as Mr. A. Mr. A is accused of deceiving him into receiving 1.6 billion won, claiming in June 2019, when news emerged about Lee Min-woo being investigated for allegedly sexually assaulting two women, that he would help secure a non-indictment due to having connections within the prosecution, despite having no such relationships, and over a period of 26 months, he is accused of scamming a total of 2.6 billion won.
In particular, Mr. A reportedly approached Lee Min-woo again in December of the same year after he was acquitted, demanding more money by stating, "Before the 10-day period necessary for wrapping up the case ends, the fact of the non-indictment must not be made public, and you have hindered the media report, causing complications."
Mr. A was indicted for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (fraud) and violating the Attorney-at-Law Act. Both the first and second trials found Mr. A guilty, sentencing him to nine years in prison and confiscating 2.636 billion won. However, the Supreme Court overturned the original judgment and remanded the case to the Seoul High Court.
In March, Lee Min-woo revealed, "Nerves damaged by stress. Symptoms of facial paralysis. To fully recover from acute ischemic neuralgia, treatment must be done within the golden time of 72 hours. If left untreated for years as I have, full recovery is difficult, but with consistent treatment, it can improve."
