Lee Eun-sam and Kim Ye-rim are facing an unexpected crisis.
On the 24th at 5 p.m., the drama "Cheongdam International High School 2" (directed by Lim Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won, written by Kwak Young-im) was released through domestic OTT, and in the 7th episode, the position of Baek Je-na (played by Kim Ye-rim), which was thought to be unshakable, was shaken.
In this episode, a shocking situation unfolded where Je-na was caught up in the scheme of Min Yul-hee (played by Park Si-woo) and tested positive for drugs. Despite Je-na's pleas, the chairman Seo Hee-gwon (played by Oh Ji-ho) and even her father Baek Kyo-yeon (played by Lee Do-yeop) remained cold. Moreover, Kyo-yeon, furious over the incident, declared that he would cut all support for Je-na. Later, the scene of Je-na, who was left in turmoil, going to find her mother Seo Jae-kyung (played by Lee Da Hae) with red eyes evoked sympathy.
Meanwhile, the rivalry between Kim Hae-in (played by Lee Eun-sam) and Kim Hae-in (played by Jang Seong-yoon) kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Hae-in followed Yul-hee's instructions but found herself in the same situation and threatened Hae-in. To calm Hae-in, who was overwhelmed with anger, Hae-in said, "I'll go to find the chairman first with the Min Yul-hee necklace. Once it's settled, I'll also go to the police station," thus defusing the situation.
The tsundere friendship between Hae-in and Je-na added more fun to the drama. Lost and without a place to go, Je-na headed to Hae-in's house and stayed there for a night. Hae-in was flustered but gladly welcomed Je-na, and the two created a warm atmosphere for the first time.
In addition, Lee Sa-rang (played by Won Gyu-bin) effectively played the role of Hae-in's protector. To buy ramen for Je-na, Hae-in went outside but was almost ambushed by Hwang Bo-seok (played by Yoon Jae-hyun), who had held a grudge against her. However, Sa-rang appeared and rescued her. Additionally, Sa-rang stayed by Hae-in's side until she returned home safely, creating a heartwarming moment.
Towards the end of the broadcast, Hae-in and Sa-rang decided to lure Park Woo-jin (played by Jang Deok-soo), who deceived them as Black Dog and was in possession of Oh Si-eun's (played by Han Da-sol) phone. Finally, at the moment Hae-in was about to face Woo-jin, she received a video containing her weaknesses from Yul-hee, filling her with anxiety. This intense ending heightened tension, foreshadowing future confrontations with Yul-hee.
Immediately after the release, viewers reacted enthusiastically, saying, "I can't wait for Thursday at 5 p.m.," "It's a drama that's enjoyable to watch," "Park Woo-jin is annoying, but Jang Deok-soo is so cool," "The dialogue between Hae-in and Hae-in gave me goosebumps," "This place is a couple paradise. They all match well," and "Baek Je-na seems weak for the first time."
"Cheongdam International High School 2" is released every Thursday and Friday at 5 p.m. on domestic OTT platforms such as Netflix, Wavve, and Tving, as well as available for viewing on the 종합편성채널 MBN at 12:10 a.m. every Friday.
