The world of the 12 gods in actor Ma Dong-seok's new drama 'Twelve' has been captured.
On the 25th, the production team of the new drama 'Twelve' (directed by Kang Dae-gyu and Han Yoon-sun) unveiled an opening title that offers a glimpse of the stately appearance of the 12 guardian angels and a fresh worldview.
The series 'Twelve', inspired by the 12 gods of the East, is an action hero story depicting the battle of 12 angels, who take human form to protect humanity, against the forces of evil.
The unveiled opening title begins with a scene where the light of heaven is covered by darkness, hinting at an unusual event as a blue signal appears on the angels' pendants. Ancient hieroglyphs that follow symbolize the vast worldview of 'Twelve' spanning from ancient times to the present, and the periods during which angels have guarded humans.
As the scene transitions from cosmic objects to modern times, actor Ma Dong-seok, representing 'Taesan' who symbolizes the tiger among the 12 guardian angels, finally appears, sending fire from his fists. As the weapons of the 12 angels pass by, the evil force 'Ogui' (Park Hyung-sik), who seeks to cover the world with enormous wings, looks down upon a city stained red.
The heartbeat quickens at the grand and spectacular tale that the 12 angels and the forces of evil attempting to disrupt the peace of this land will create. The soul stone, awakening overwhelming evil power, draws attention. At the moment when three soul stones merge into one, a powerful explosion occurs, and the scene appears to unfold as if the gates of hell are opening amid the rising sun, depicting the moment when the world is consumed by evil.
It remains to be seen if the angels and their overseer 'Malok' (Sung Dong-il) can save the world in the face of fierce evil. Just from the opening video, curiosity about the story reaches a peak. The opening video captures not only the unparalleled forms of the 12 guardian angels but also many objects that will be seen in the 'Twelve' series, promising another layer of fun as viewers discover hidden elements after the main content is released.
'Twelve' will be released on Aug. 23 on Disney+ and KBS 2TV's weekend miniseries.
