Legend of American professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71.
On the 24th (local time), American entertainment media TMZ reported that Hogan collapsed and died of a heart attack at his home in Clearwater, Florida, that morning.
Emergency services responded to the scene after receiving a report, and Hogan was transported to a nearby hospital on a stretcher, but ultimately did not survive.
The police plan to hold a press conference shortly to provide additional details.
His real name, Terry Gene Bollea, was a superstar representing professional wrestling from the 1980s to the early 2000s.
He also operated under the ring name "Hollywood Hogan" and won the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Championship at least six times. He made history by being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
However, he was recently surrounded by rumors of being "on his deathbed." However, Hogan's side denied health concerns, stating that "the symptoms from the neck surgery he underwent in May have merely improved."
In response to the sudden news of his death, wrestling fans are expressing their condolences, saying, "An era has come to an end."
