'Hyungsooda' has returned stronger than ever.
On the 25th, E Channel's original web entertainment 'Hyungsooda' season 2 (hereinafter 'Hyungsooda2') was released through the YouTube channel 'Conversations Among Detectives'. Professional profiler Kwon Il-yong, who led the last season, and actor Lee Yi-kyung, who is working with the 'Brave Detectives', joined as MCs. 'Hyungsooda' is a digital spin-off web entertainment that expands the universe of E Channel's flagship show 'Brave Detectives'.
'Hyungsooda2' opened with the story of death row inmates in Korea, titled 'Death Row Conversations'. The first episode featured guest singer and actor Jeon Hyo-seong, known as Lee Yi-kyung's 'close friend', and lawyer Jeong Jae-min, a former judge. They discussed with the MCs the reality of executions in Korea, which have been suspended since 1997, the lives of death row inmates currently incarcerated, and their characteristics.
The person highlighted in 'Death Row Conversations' was Park Bun-rye, recorded as Korea's first serial killer. In the 1970s, her series of heinous acts began due to a report from her common-law husband, who lived with her and their one son and one daughter for 20 years. Park Bun-rye led her family, including her sister and brother-in-law, as well as her common-law husband's younger brother, to death in succession.
Park Bun-rye, who horrified the public by brutally murdering her family, astonished everyone with her meticulously planned criminal methods involving multiple insurance policies, receiving insurance payouts, and tampering with alibis surrounding death benefits. This broadcast shed light on the background of why Park Bun-rye targeted her family for her crimes, as well as cases of criminals similar to her.
'Hyungsooda2', newly revamped, can be checked through the YouTube channel 'Conversations Among Detectives'.
