Broadcaster Kim Kyung-hwa revealed the reason for canceling her summer vacation due to her eldest child's surgery.

Kim Kyung-hwa said, "This is supposed to be a time to be in Bangkok, but I'm really tucked in a hospital room. My eldest got injured while exercising and had surgery. At first, I felt dizzy and mentally overwhelmed, but now I've moved past the tears, regrets, and feelings of longing."
"Having seen much worse cases, I feel grateful for this situation even though it's tough. Yet, this feeling is fleeting, and every time I see her, I feel sad and regretful. My eldest, with the fairest skin in our family, had her photo taken on our last date—it's memorable. Strangely, this summer, the second one struggled a bit with a cast during finals, and right after the accident, we canceled our summer vacation. I wish we could just spend this summer healthily and safely," she added.
Along with this, Kim Kyung-hwa shared a photo showing her eldest resting in the hospital after surgery. She added to the sadness by revealing a picture taken with her eldest daughter before the injury.
Meanwhile, Kim Kyung-hwa married in 2002 and has two daughters.
