Actor Lee Sung-min conveyed his sincerity about acting.
Lee Sung-min met with Arena Homme Plus magazine. He has permeated the public's hearts with his diverse appearances across dramas such as 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate,' 'The Day of Fortune,' and 'Spring in Seoul.' Through this photoshoot, he expressed a somewhat different side of himself. In front of the camera, he filled the pauses between shots with his own expressions and atmosphere, capturing another look.
In a subsequent interview, he returned to a candid and earnest demeanor away from the camera's gaze and revealed his attitude as an actor. Lee Sung-min said, "Acting does not have copyright. An actor is like a performer. Even with the same sheet music, it changes depending on who plays it. What an actor has to do is interpretation or expression and bringing out the fundamental charm they possess."
He also revealed what he has realized through his continuous acting. He stated, "I've never thought of acting as fun. Upon reflection, it was ultimately a thirst. Because I'm lacking, that desire to fill that gap has continued. While I act to make a living, the fundamental reason as an actor is that there is a thirst to fill the lacking parts."
Lee Sung-min will appear in the new film 'No Other Choice' directed by Park Chan-wook, which will be released in September.
