Many people have been waiting for the SEVENTEEN version of 'Dangerous Invitation,' which has finally been unveiled.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, Dokyum, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) posted their self-produced content 'GOING SEVENTEEN' EP.128 MC Showdown: Dangerous Invitation #1 on the team's official YouTube channel and social media. This is a nostalgic variety series making a return after two years, and it received a hot response since the trailer was released.
This episode is formatted after 'Dangerous Invitation,' which aired in the early 2000s and gained great popularity. Whenever Dokyum says a banned word or performs a specific action, the members get soaked in water from above or dive into the pool while on a flying chair.
It was off to a strong start. When Dokyum clapped to open, S.Coups' flying chair was immediately propelled out. Just after the game started, he was consecutively soaked in water and dived into the pool once more, stealing the spotlight. The contrast between Dokyum, who was surprised after a habitual banned action, and S.Coups, who fell into the water with a blank expression, brought laughter.
Dino's performance was no less impressive. Designating English as a banned word meant that even during mundane conversations about sports, movies, and travel, he was hit by water bombs several times. It was to the extent that Dokyum spoke the banned word before the water in Dino's basket was filled. With the additional diving caused by the flying chair, there was even a moment when his top nearly came off, provoking laughter.
The strategic battles among the members added to the fun. Main MC Seungkwan induced Dokyum to perform banned actions, leading to consecutively diving Joshua and Mingyu into the water. In a scene where Dokyum, realizing the banned words and actions, consecutively plunged members into the water, his exceptional variety sense stood out. Towards the end of the broadcast, a teaser for part two of 'Dangerous Invitation' with Joshua, Hoshi, Woozi, and Vernon heightened expectations.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will kick off their 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Sept. 13-14. In November and December, they will continue performances at four domes in Japan.
