Meanwhile, Park Jiyeon is reported to be juggling her illness, childcare, and work ahead of her kidney transplant surgery.
Park Jiyeon married Lee Sugeun in 2008 and has two sons. However, during her second pregnancy in 2011, her kidney function deteriorated due to pregnancy-induced hypertension, leading to a battle with illness. She received a kidney transplant from her father but has faced difficulties with recovery and continues to undergo dialysis treatment.
Amidst this, she was advised by medical staff to seek a kidney retransplant and applied for a deceased donor. She is expected to receive a kidney from her biological brother in mid-August for her second surgery.
