KBS2 'The Return of Superman' new Superman Sim Hyung-tak reveals his true nature as a dad who is a fan in front of a claw machine.
'The Return of Superman' (directed by Kim Young-min, hereafter 'Superman') has been loved by the public for 13 years since its first broadcast in 2013. In the second and third weeks of June 2023, following Eun-woo, Jung-woo from 'Superman' proved to be the youngest and most popular as he climbed into the top 10 for two consecutive weeks in the non-drama sector of TV-OTT participants' popularity. In particular, on the 11th, at the 14th 'Population Day' ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, 'Superman' received the 'President's Citation,' showcasing the dignity of 'national parenting entertainment.' The 583rd episode, titled 'Loving More Day by Day,' will be broadcast today (23rd). This episode features the three MCs Park Soo-hong, Choi Ji-woo, An Young-mi, and the new Superman Sim Hyung-tak.
Sim Hyung-tak, who headed to the mart to buy carrots with his son Haru, is distracted by the claw machine. Watching Haru, who is still babbling, Sim Hyung-tak asks, 'Haru, do you want this?' His expression brings laughter. Then, he becomes engrossed in pulling a figure and wears an innocent smile, while the original intention of visiting the mart, to buy carrots, is completed in a mere second. Unlike the immensely happy Sim Hyung-tak, who can't tear himself away from the toy section, Haru appears bewildered, making everyone burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Sim Hyung-tak revealed, 'If you convert the money spent on figures accumulated over 20 years, it would be at least 100 million won,' generating surprise. Notably, he draws attention by nonchalantly pulling out a 1 million won toy for Haru. MC Choi Ji-woo, seeing the Optimus Prime robot toy, remarked, 'I really love that! That!' while sparkling her eyes and jokingly performed, 'I'm an Optimus Prime,' revealing an unexpected taste.
Sim Hyung-tak states, 'I'll give all this to Haru later,' indicating that he will pass down the figures he has collected with great care. Thus, the daily life of Haru, who was born with a 'figure spoon,' and his 'fan dad' Sim Hyung-tak can be checked in the main broadcast of 'Superman.'
