Disney+ original series 'Low Life' has released a still that announces the beginning of the treasure hunt ahead of the release of episodes 4 and 5 today (23rd).
In 1977, the story of the hard-working scavengers who gathered to claim a treasure ship buried under the sea will unveil episodes 4 and 5 of 'Low Life' today and open the curtain on the treasure hunt.
The released stills for episodes 4 and 5 capture the movements of characters fulfilling their roles in the gradually emerging treasure hunt, drawing attention. First, the scene at the port where there is a tense debate before departure to the waters off Sinan raises curiosity about how the characters will navigate the crises they face.
Then, the scene showing 'Oh Kwan-seok' (Ryu Seung-ryong) and 'Professor Kim' (Kim Ui-sung) sitting back to back while gazing in different directions reveals a dream-like scenario between the two characters whose true intentions are unclear, heightening expectations for exciting developments centered around them. The appearance of 'Oh Hee-dong' (Yang Se-jong) holding a basket of fish hints at the unpredictable actions of the scavengers, escalating curiosity. Additionally, the scene featuring the Mokpo police officer 'Shim Hong-ki' (Lee Dong-hwi), who prioritizes public authority, saying, 'Where the hell are you going now?' while seemingly engaging in a confrontation with 'Beol-gu' (Jung Yun-ho), instantly creates tension.
Moreover, the overwhelming presence of 'Yang Jeong-suk' (Im Soo-jung), who starts shaking things up by stating, 'From now on, everything coming out of Sinan is mine,' leaves a strong impression, while director Kang Yoon-sung noted, 'Low Life' has the fun of following the characters. With each new episode, many new characters appear, and depending on how the characters move along their respective lines, the story plot changes significantly. Expectations are high for the activities of the scavengers, including 'Oh Hee-dong', 'Im Jeon-chul' (Kim Seong-o), 'Beol-gu', and 'Na Dae-sik' (Lee Sang-jin), who find themselves in a situation where they cannot let their guard down for even a moment.
Meanwhile, the intense character lineup and high production quality have garnered positive reviews, with comments like, 'All the actors are in place. Their performances are delightful,' 'The dialects are catchy, and the synergy among the top-notch actors is perfect,' 'From the opening, the acting spectacle explodes with dopamine, and the direction is comprehensive,' and 'Who will prevail in the competition? The direction is phenomenal and truly immerses viewers in that era,' among others, has sparked great interest in 'Low Life.'
