Airing at 8:10 p.m. today (23rd), Channel A's 'Star Health Ranking Number One' examines indigestion, which 1 in 5 Koreans suffers from, and is expected to reveal the actual health rankings of stars under the theme, 'People who will suffer from obesity due to indigestion.' 'Star Health Ranking Number One' features hosts Ji Seok-jin, Han Da-gam, and guests like Dokgo Young-jae and Lee Kyung-sil, who disclose health rankings through check-ups, and on this broadcast, actress Jang Ga-hyun will join as a special check-up motivator.
Before the official start, the cast discloses their struggles with indigestion, saying, "It's frustrating when digestion doesn't work," and "Even half an apple doesn't digest well." Amid this, 70s aged Dokgo Young-jae asserts, "I have never had an upset stomach or experienced indigestion," prompting Ji Seok-jin to respond, "Is it possible to live without experiencing indigestion?" showing a skeptical demeanor.
In a lecture on the vicious cycle of obesity caused by indigestion, gastroenterologist Ahn Hyeong-jin identifies the process in which undigested food decays and produces intestinal toxins as a cause of obesity. He adds that to prevent indigestion, there needs to be a sufficient amount of digestive enzymes, which get depleted with use, hence the recurrence of indigestion.
Listening to the specialist's explanation, Lee Kyung-sil suggests, "Let's apologize to our bodies," while sticking out her tongue where digestive enzymes come from and exclaims, "I'm sorry, amylase!" demonstrating the act. However, in a somewhat comical manner, Ji Seok-jin pulls back, saying, "Let's just say the apology was on behalf of everyone," and Han Da-gam also confesses, "I want to apologize, but I can't go that far," causing laughter in the studio.
Meanwhile, regarding one of the reasons digestive enzymes are depleted being 'age', Han Da-gam playfully teases Dokgo Young-jae, saying, "You must have already used up your enzymes," to which Dokgo Young-jae responds, "Just eat delicious food and die a little earlier," playfully joking.
When the health rankings are revealed, Ji Seok-jin, who unexpectedly placed, admits, "I think my habit of chatting while eating is wrong," prompting specialist Ahn Hyeong-jin to point out Ji Seok-jin's habit, saying, "The reason humans have evolved so much is because we have a brain to control our eating differently than carps and goldfish," while Lee Kyung-sil humorously chimes in, asking, "Are you saying I can't even do as well as a carp or a goldfish?" making everyone laugh.
Additionally, when specialist Ahn Hyeong-jin mentions that Ji Seok-jin's stomach is larger than his lower abdomen, he describes Ji Seok-jin's body shape as resembling "an extraterrestrial ET," which makes Ji Seok-jin uncomfortable as he remarks, "Are you an ex-hater?" Han Da-gam's results are also shocking, prompting curiosity with findings of a large number of fungi in her body.
Who will be selected as the top in the health rankings for the title of 'The person with the highest risk of obesity due to indigestion' among Ji Seok-jin in his 50s, Han Da-gam in her 40s, Dokgo Young-jae in his 70s, Lee Kyung-sil in her 50s, and Jang Ga-hyun in her 40s? The results of the health rankings will be revealed on July 23 at 8:10 p.m. on Channel A's 'Star Health Ranking Number One.'
Additionally, the number one experts, including the traditional and modern medicine specialist, Dr. Ahn Won-sik, and working mom pharmacist Yoo Seul-ah, will also appear together to provide various health information in an easily understandable way. As the number one specialist, gastroenterologist Ahn Hyeong-jin warns about the risks of indigestion that can lead to obesity. The 'number one prescription' recommended by the number one experts for stomach health will also be disclosed.
