Jennie graced the cover of the August special edition of the fashion magazine "Elle." This photoshoot captured the lovely, confident, and captivating moments of Chanel ambassador Jennie's daily life.
After the photoshoot, an interview was conducted. When asked about her "daily life" by Jennie, who is currently making intense appearances on stages worldwide, she smiled and said, "If I think of my favorite moment, it's the one where I can sleep in comfortably at home, making up for my lack of sleep, and waking up leisurely around lunchtime to open the window and look at the sky. It feels really simple and not special, but I love the calmness and warmth I feel at that moment."
With the release of the new song "JUMP," BLACKPINK has started their full-group activities, and when asked if the time spent alone provided enough nourishment for team activities during this busy period, she noted, "While preparing for this solo album 'Ruby,' I learned and felt a lot. To improve the completeness, I kept confronting challenges and experiencing trial and error, and at some point, I realized that I had become a bit stronger," and added, "Since the other members have also gone through their own journeys and returned, we understand each other more deeply and have become a more flexible and mature team. This activity will feel really special for both me and the members," she shared her feelings about returning to BLACKPINK as a full group after about three years since founding her one-person agency.
Now that the name "Jennie" is being heard everywhere, regarding her name attached to one of the most loved songs, "like JENNIE," she stated, "In 'like JENNIE,' 'JENNIE' is just a pronoun. I created this song to convey a message that anyone who names themselves can love themselves and shine in their own way, and it's only because my name is 'JENNIE' that it was used. I hope that everyone who sings this song carries that sentiment." She expressed her affection by saying, "As I sing this song, I have gained confidence. The road I've walked so far has been difficult, but it's a song that gives a positive resonance that I am heading in the right direction and doing well despite everything."
