On 'Radio Star,' comedian Yoon Hyung-bin revealed the backstory of his TKO victory in a martial arts match that led to the retirement of YouTuber Ben.
The MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' (abbreviated as Ras), aired on the 23rd, featured actor Im Won-hee, singer Lee Gi-chan, comedian Lee Sang-jun, and Yoon Hyung-bin as guests.
Yoon Hyung-bin recently drew attention by securing a TKO victory in just 1 minute against Ben in a martial arts match. The match included conditions about deleting their respective YouTube channels. As a result, Ben deleted his channel with over 2.05 million subscribers and started a new channel, attracting attention.
In this regard, Yoon Hyung-bin said, "At that time, I received a fight money of 100 million won," surprising the audience. He noted, "This was my first official match in 11 years. Given my age, I thought I should retire, so I announced it as a retirement match and fought."
He continued, "The opponent was Ben, a mukbang YouTuber with 2.05 million subscribers, and he was an elite athlete in middle school. He even represented his middle school in Judo. I was anxious until the match day. He is 10 years younger than me and trains for 5 hours a day. Everyone said, 'Yoon Hyung-bin will definitely get hit,' but when I won by TKO, the reaction changed."
He said, "As a comedian, I thought of an interesting commitment, suggesting that Ben, with 2.05 million subscribers, and I, with 20,000 subscribers, put our YouTube channels on the line. Isn't that funny? But Ben seriously said, 'You should have that level of determination.' In the end, he really deleted the channel with 2.05 million subscribers," he marveled.
Yoon Hyung-bin expressed disappointment, saying, "I advised against it. I would have preferred him to give me the channel instead of deleting it. It's such a waste." To this, Yoo Se-yoon suggested, "How about Yoon Hyung-bin-zz?" adding to the laughter.
