On the 23rd, the Love Fruit Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byung-jun) announced that it will implement an emergency support project worth a total of 500 million won from the 24th to help disaster victims and recovery in the affected areas due to the nationwide heavy rain.
This emergency support is named '2025 National Heavy Rain Damage Emergency Support Project Garo (家路) Project - The Way Home,' and it will be conducted until September 30 for about two months, targeting the areas affected by the heavy rain.
First, in regions severely affected such as Gyeongnam, Chungnam, Jeonnam, Gwangju, and Gyeonggi, support will be provided directly for the necessary equipment and goods for recovery to individual households, farms, and social welfare facilities. In particular, plans are in place to quickly deliver daily necessities and on-site tailored items to about 2,400 victims, including those staying in temporary housing.
Support for recovery at a national level will also be conducted. Food for volunteers and activists helping with recovery work, as well as support for transportation and recovery equipment and goods, will be provided, alongside items to counter the summer heat considering the temperatures.
Previously, Lim Young-woong donated 200 million won in the name of his fan club 'Hero Era' and Yunho from Dongbang donated 50 million won. The sincere contributions of stars who willingly exert a positive influence in the face of national disasters are spreading across the world.
Meanwhile, the Love Fruit has been operating a 'Domestic Disaster Emergency Response System Establishment Project' since 2023 to maintain a permanent disaster response system. It is strengthening initial responses centered around an integrated support system based in five regions nationwide, and plans to enhance on-site monitoring for rapid disaster recovery support in response to the recent heavy rain.
Chairman Kim Byung-jun of the Love Fruit said, "I would like to express my deep condolences to neighbors suffering from the sudden heavy rain," and noted, "The Love Fruit will do its utmost to ensure that the necessary support is quickly delivered to the disaster sites with the dedication of the public."
