Lee Gi-yong posted on his social media on the 21st and 22nd, saying, "My heart has been really unsettled these days. He shared, "It was a sudden decision, so there wasn't enough notice or preparation, but I think many people might have felt this uneasy emotion at least once."
He added, "But the positive thing is that after nearly three years working in the restaurant, this pause will surely be a time I'll be thankful for in the future." He also said, "Are you hesitating to take on a challenge? Are you spending nights like me, feeling unsettled? How about we try it together? It's okay not to be perfect. I think I can find the courage if we do it together rather than alone."
Earlier, Lee Gi-yong announced that he would leave the restaurant where he was working, saying, "I sincerely respect self-employed individuals. I worked feeling that it is a continuous series of fierce choices and endurance every day," and noted, "Due to the company's difficult decision, I also have to organize my position." He stated, "Since this decision was communicated to me, I will do my best quietly until the given time," demonstrating his sense of responsibility until the end.
