Broadcaster Ahn Sun-young is drawing attention by candidly revealing her home shopping grants following her immigration news to Canada.
Recently, Ahn Sun-young announced through her YouTube channel, "My son has shown talent in ice hockey, and we decided to move to Canada to support him properly." She stated, "It's just that I'm ending my career as live broadcasting is impossible, but I will continue my business online and come to Seoul every month to take care of my mother's hospital needs," clearly indicating that it is not a retirement from broadcasting but a 'redirection of life.'
She continued, "My son is attending a hockey specialized school, and William, the son of Sam Hammington, is on the same team," and shared how her son saw her on YouTube and said, 'Mom, why aren't you on it? I hope you do YouTube,' which led her to start her YouTube activities.
What caught the most attention was her home shopping grants. When the production team asked, "How much is the grant for one live home shopping appearance?" Ahn Sun-young initially looked troubled but cautiously revealed the amount, saying, "I won't be doing it anyway, so I will disclose it." She explained, "There are also grades for celebrity guests, and I am among those who receive a lot. It wasn't achieved overnight. It's the result of my 20-year broadcasting career," before stating, "For 60 minutes, it's 15 million won," which caused a stir in the studio. Ahn Sun-young burst into laughter seeing the dazed expressions on the filming staff.
Earlier, Ahn Sun-young revealed on YouTube on the 4th, "Now is the peak of my live broadcasting career, but I decided to bravely let it go for my son's dream," and shared, "My son said, 'This is my dream, and if mom can't go, I will go to a boarding house,'" which evoked strong emotions.
