The global girl group KATSEYE, a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, is gaining popularity on major U.S. Billboard charts.
According to the latest Billboard chart released on July 22 (local time), KATSEYE's second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' ranked 24th on the Billboard 200. This album debuted at 4th (July 12) on that chart, climbed to 15th (July 19), and has remained in the upper ranks for three consecutive weeks. It also placed 6th and 8th on the 'Top Current Album Sales' and 'Top Album Sales' charts, maintaining its top 10 position for three consecutive weeks.
KATSEYE has also shown an upward trend on global charts. The track 'Gabriela' from 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' climbed to 37th on the Billboard Global 200 and 28th on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart this week, moving up 2 spots and 5 spots, respectively. It has charted for four consecutive weeks. This song previously achieved the group's highest ranking of 87th on the Billboard Hot 100 (July 12).
Another track, 'Gnarly,' also ranked 96th on both the Global 200 and Global (excluding U.S.) charts. Even three months after its release, it continues to receive consistent love from numerous music fans.
KATSEYE is rapidly expanding its influence in the U.S. pop market by appearing on two major Billboard charts within a year of debut. It is noted as a prime example of successfully transplanting the K-Pop production system led by HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk into the local market, earning the label of 'next-generation pop girl group' that is changing the flow of the global music industry.
Recently, they garnered attention by collaborating with the global corporation Mattel on an original theme song 'Fright Song' for the iconic brand 'Monster High,' presenting a new interpretation through a music video. The six members (Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, Yoon Chae) added a unique charm to the original song with their intense performances and creative styling.
KATSEYE will perform at large music festivals, including 'Lollapalooza Chicago' on August 3 and 'Summer Sonic 2025' in Japan on August 16-17. Worldwide fans are expected to focus their attention on these stages.
