It's the return of a K-POP legend. H.O.T. is reuniting after six years. Hanteo Global has confirmed that H.O.T. will appear as the headliner at its massive K-POP festival.
On the 23rd, Hanteo Global officially announced, "H.O.T. will take the stage as the headliner at the 'Hanteo Music Festival' (HANTEO MUSIC FESTIVAL, hereinafter 'Haneumpe'), held on September 6th and 7th at the Seoul World Cup Stadium."
According to Hanteo Global, H.O.T. is expected to perform a solo performance level set lasting over 60 minutes as the headliner. This complete performance is significant as it comes about six years after their last complete show in 2019, and particularly meaningful as they approach their 30th anniversary. Notably, September 7th marks their 29th anniversary and is a meaningful occasion as they head toward their 30th anniversary.
The 'Haneumpe', held for the first time this year, is expected to be a historic performance in many ways. According to Hanteo Global, this festival will feature special stages from first-generation K-POP artists who have been part of the history of Korean music to fifth-generation artists. Especially, as this is the inaugural festival, it is given additional significance by featuring H.O.T., which symbolizes the beginning of K-POP.
This appearance was realized based on trust. Hanteo Global has been recognized as 'the cornerstone of Korean music' and 'the living witness of K-POP history' for the past 33 years, having grown alongside the K-POP industry by publishing the world's only real-time music chart, Hanteo Chart.
There is high anticipation for the synergy that H.O.T. and Hanteo Global will showcase. There are also analyses suggesting that it will have a tremendous impact beyond the K-POP industry and into the broader cultural sector.
The organizers stated, "This festival will mark a significant moment in K-POP history," adding that "the artists who will take the stage following H.O.T. will be revealed in succession later on."
