The group NOWZ has undergone its third transformation with a new album.
The performance video for 'Problem Child' from NOWZ's first mini-album 'IGNITION,' released on the 18th, has been gaining attention daily. The explosive choreography and large-scale performance featuring a mega crew of around 50 people have become an opportunity to showcase another charm of NOWZ.
'Problem Child' contains a message of recognizing oneself without being shaken by others' standards, breaking away from the mold of 'the right answer.' It's a song that leaves a strong impression with addictive hooks over tight kick, snare, and hi-hat rhythms. As it expresses a rough atmosphere, NOWZ pointed out 'Problem Child' as the most difficult song during the album recording.
NOWZ noted, "It was a song that required a wild and raw feeling. It had to contain real primal energy, rather than a manufactured sound, which made it challenging. There were many powerful parts, and a rough vocal style was also necessary. The song was so difficult that I couldn't smile before recording."
'Problem Child' was first showcased during a fan showcase, which led to continuous requests for performances from fans. The enthusiastic response at the fan showcase ignited once the performance video was released. Especially, the choreography involving the popular dance crew 'WeDemBoys' complemented the song, creating NOWZ's distinctive high-end performance.
NOWZ highlighted, "The chorus choreography of 'Problem Child' is powerful, but also features playful expressions and each member's unique gestures. Additionally, since it's a high-energy song, I considered the synergy produced when the choreography and song combine as the most important aspect."
In this album, NOWZ meets fans with a wide musical spectrum, including the pre-release single 'Fly Freely (Feat. YUQI)' produced by their agency's senior group (G)I-DLE's Wooqi, as well as the title track 'EVERGLOW,' challenging the rock genre, and the impressive performance of 'Problem Child.'
NOWZ will carry out activities for their mini-album 'IGNITION' this week through various content, including music broadcasts.
