Broadcaster Choi Hwa-jung extended a helping hand to neighbors affected by the flood.
On the 22nd, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that broadcaster Choi Hwa-jung donated 30 million won to help those in flood-affected areas. Hope Bridge is the only legal relief organization that can distribute disaster relief funds domestically.
Choi Hwa-jung has been practicing giving by donating 20 million won to support neighbors affected by disaster during the wildfire disaster in March.
Choi Hwa-jung said, "It is difficult to think of those who have lost their homes due to the heavy rain," and expressed her hope that "the neighbors quickly finish recovering and return to their peaceful daily lives."
Shin Hoon, the secretary-general of Hope Bridge, expressed deep gratitude to donor Choi Hwa-jung for conveying warm support for neighbors suffering from the flood, saying, "Hope Bridge will quickly identify and do its best to ensure that the most necessary support is provided to the affected neighbors in a timely manner."
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge has established a system with disaster relief logistics centers located in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, and Hampyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, enabling quick dispatch and delivery of relief supplies anywhere in the country in the event of a disaster.
