TWICE revealed a trailer for their new Japanese album, presenting a story like a movie.
TWICE will release their sixth Japanese studio album 'ENEMY' on Aug. 27. Ahead of that, at midnight on the 22nd, they unveiled a trailer video imbued with a profound narrative through their official Japanese SNS channel, amplifying anticipation for their comeback.
The video begins in a static space, contrasting with the voices that highlight the activities of TWICE, the 'global top-tier girl group.' The everyday lives of the nine members are calm and face confusion and pain, unlike their glamorous stage appearances. Narration about a life yearning for perfection, the arising tension within it, and pain that seeps out despite attempts to conceal it unfolds, conveying TWICE's most honest story.
With a calm monologue, scenes of the nine members follow, leading to Jihyo, who appears to run brightly after a moment of heaviness, and as her footsteps resonate with everyone, the members shift their gaze toward the sound. Finally, Nayeon meets the viewers' eyes beyond the camera, and the video concludes with the words "I am." The cinematic visuals reminiscent of a movie trailer, combined with the sparkling inner voices of TWICE, heighten curiosity about the new album.
The new album 'ENEMY' is their first regular album released locally after about a year since their fifth regular album 'DIVE' in July 2024. After releasing their fourth regular album 'THIS IS FOR' on July 11, TWICE is actively expanding their worldwide popularity by releasing a new album in Japan.
They will also meet fans around the world with the new world tour 'THIS IS FOR.' They kicked it off with the sold-out concert at the Incheon Inspire Arena on July 19-20 and will start their overseas standalone concerts with performances in Osaka on the 26th-27th. Concerts will be held in Aichi on Aug. 23-24, Fukuoka on Aug. 30-31, Tokyo on Sept. 16-17, Macau on Sept. 27-28, Bulacan on Oct. 4, Singapore on Oct. 11-12, Sydney on Nov. 1-2, Melbourne on Nov. 8-9, Kaohsiung on the 22nd, Hong Kong on Dec. 6, and Bangkok on Dec. 13-14, with all concert venues fully open, indicating innovative evolution in 360-degree performance production.
