Singer KCM revealed that he felt a sense of relief after disclosing the existence of his daughter for the first time in 13 years.
In the episode of Channel A's 'Close Friends Documentary: 4-Person Dining Table' that aired on the 21st, the scene depicted Park Kyung-rim visiting KCM's home along with his lifelong friend Kim Tae-woo and their team.
On that day, while discussing KCM's signature arm band fashion, Park Kyung-rim asked, "What does your daughter say when she sees you looking like a fashion terrorist, Dad?" and KCM candidly shared, "When I seriously do something like 'Hello, harmonica,' she changes the channel when she sees it on TV. She wishes I wouldn't do that. My wife also seriously asked me if I really have to do it this way before."
He explained, "As a dad, I want to act responsibly, but because people seem to like me for this, I convinced them to understand. I told them this is how I can live happily and work, so please don't watch it. Even now, if something like that happens, I tell them in advance that I don't want them to see it."
In response, Park Kyung-rim asked, "What will you do about the 4-person dining table?" and KCM replied, "I didn't wear the arm band for this one." When asked if he was okay with many revelations coming out, he said, "I think this is fine."
Then Kim Tae-woo suggested, "Shall we properly begin?" indicating a serious revelation war, to which KCM retorted, "Are you sure about that?" Kim Tae-woo then said, "That's not going to work," causing laughter.
In particular, KCM shared that he had been unable to mention the fact that he has a daughter for 13 years due to financial difficulties. Upon hearing this, Kim Tae-woo expressed surprise, saying, "What really shocked me is that our eldest child and KCM's eldest child were born on the same day. I just found out a while ago that their birthdays are the same."
Park Kyung-rim remarked, "When we meet, I will show you pictures of the kids, and I have shared everything..." and Kim Tae-woo reflected, "I regret getting angry because I thought that way too. How tough could it have been?"
To this, Park Kyung-rim asked, "So do you take your daughter to school now?" after revealing his hidden daughter, and KCM said, "I take her to school and if I have time, we hang out together," adding, "Honestly, I've been excited every day these days."
Meanwhile, Park Kyung-rim questioned, "Aren't the kids in middle school now, so they're sensitive and starting their adolescence?" and KCM admitted, "Yes, there is adolescence. I realize now that this is what puberty feels like."
Amid the conversation, KCM received an IU signed album that he had prepared for his daughter, and Park Kyung-rim admired, "This is how you earn points!" To this, KCM remarked, "If I can't earn points with something like this, I can't get through puberty."
Hearing this, Kim Tae-woo said, "I got a call asking me to get an idol CD. They said, 'You've never asked for such a favor, how can I say that?' and then they asked, 'Can't you do that for your niece?' They've hidden it from me until now," revealing his lingering feelings. KCM corrected him, saying, "It's not that I hid it, I just couldn't say it," to which Kim Tae-woo replied, "That's hiding it," bringing laughter.
