The second set of press stills featuring actor Jo Jung-seok's paternal love has been captured from 'My Daughter is a Zombie.'
On the 22nd, the team behind the movie 'My Daughter is a Zombie' (directed by Pil Kam-seong, distributed by NEW, produced by Studio N) released additional press stills.
'My Daughter is a Zombie' is a comedic film about a doting father who enters top-secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last remaining zombie in the world. It is the latest work from actor Jo Jung-seok, who has received consecutive praise for his comedic performances in 'Exit' and 'Pilot.'
Among them, the additional released stills capture a range of emotions from the tense moment when 'Jung-hwan' (Jo Jung-seok) and 'Soo-ah' (Choi Yoo-ri) flee from a horde of zombies to heartfelt scenes conveying familial affection. Even amid the chaos caused by the zombie virus, 'Jung-hwan' and 'Soo-ah' show their determination not to lose each other. Ultimately, 'Jung-hwan' and 'Bam-soon' (Lee Jeong-eun), who were struggling to revive the memories of 'Soo-ah' as a zombie, meet 'Soo-ah' in a storeroom filled with past memories, gaining hope that she still remembers.
The chemistry of the three longtime friends, 'Jung-hwan', 'Yeon-hwa' (Jo Yeo-jeong), and 'Dong-bae' (Yoon Kyung-ho), provides both laughter and tension. 'Dong-bae' is shocked when faced with the zombie 'Soo-ah', but he quickly overcomes his fear and becomes a solid supporter of 'Jung-hwan,' adding vitality to the film. 'Yeon-hwa,' who detests zombies, confronts 'Jung-hwan' firmly over their differing beliefs and choices after learning about 'Soo-ah's condition. Despite the constant crises and conflicts, 'Jung-hwan' and 'Bam-soon' refuse to give up on 'Soo-ah' and try to protect her through their own secret training. Finally, the sight of 'Jung-hwan' holding 'Soo-ah' tightly reveals a poignant paternal love that intensifies the film's immersion.
'My Daughter is a Zombie' is set to be released in theaters nationwide on the 30th.
