KBS announcer Kim Jae-won, who announced his departure from 'Morning Square,' was spotted in Paju.
On the 22nd, announcer Eom Ji-in posted several photos on her social media story with the caption "cultural life."
In the released photos, Eom Ji-in is seen visiting actor Lee Gwang-ki's gallery in Paju. It appears that they enjoyed cultural activities together after finishing 'Morning Square.'
The appearance of announcer Kim Jae-won, who worked alongside Eom Ji-in on 'Morning Square,' was also captured. In particular, this sighting attracted more attention as it came after news of Kim Jae-won's departure from 'Morning Square.'
On the 22nd, KBS announced, "Announcer Kim Jae-won, who has warmly opened the mornings every day, is leaving 'Morning Square,' and announcer Park Cheol-kyu will fill that vacancy."
According to the production team, Kim Jae-won decided to take honorably retired recently and expressed his intention to leave the program, and the production team decided to respect this after much deliberation.
Kim Jae-won, born in 1967, joined KBS as a 21st class announcer. He has been warmly starting viewers' mornings for a long time since leading 'Morning Square' from 2008 to 2013 and again from May 2018 to the present.
Following Kim Jae-won, Park Cheol-kyu, a 50th class announcer, has been selected to join Eom Ji-in as an MC. The production team noted, "We believe that announcer Park Cheol-kyu's positive energy and empathy align well with the values pursued by 'Morning Square,'" and added, "Through a fresh collaboration with existing MC Eom Ji-in, we aim to provide viewers with an even fresher and more beneficial morning."
