There was controversy over lyricist Kim In-na's hosting style being 'rude'. Her interaction with the rookie group All Day Project, which debuted just 24 days ago, made viewers frown throughout the segment.
On the 16th, the new co-ed group All Day Project from The Black Label grants appeared on MBC FM4U's 'Kim In-na's Starry Night' (hereafter, Starry Night).
About a week after the broadcast, the controversy raised was regarding Kim In-na's hosting style. As a DJ, Kim In-na seemed to lack prior knowledge about All Day Project and was criticized for her inappropriate questions and responses towards the rookie group who had only debuted 24 days prior.
First, as the members introduced their debut song 'FAMOUS', Kim In-na said, "It has only been 24 days since your debut. The reactions are too quick. Isn't this a bit arrogant?" Furthermore, expressing concern about the characteristics of a co-ed group, she commented, "Having seen the stage, the reason for being a co-ed group is clear."
Continuing, Kim In-na said to Annie, the daughter of Shinsegae Chairman Jeong Yoo-kyung, "Your training period must have been short due to the time required for approval," and added, "You probably didn't have time to practice. I thought you might stand out alone on stage. Did you really dance that well?"
In addition, regarding Annie's 'Chairman's meme', she remarked, "Annie has honestly been quite famous. Haven't you decided not to avoid it? I'm not going to skip it. I think it's really cool, and it's not something to be ashamed of. There's no need to evade it," showing her intention to dig into Annie's family history. She also commented on Annie's motto, "This too shall pass," asking, "Doesn't that mean you want to finish 'Starry Night' quickly?" which shocked the members.
But that wasn't all. When member Tarzan said about 'FAMOUS', "I knew this was it," Kim In-na mockingly asked, "Is that something I can believe?" and added "It sounds good from that speaker," while also expressing disappointment at the fact that she was unaware of Bailey's career and, regarding Woo-chan's participation in 'Show Me the Money 6', she remarked, "So that's why you talked about being 13 years old earlier."
This is not the first time Kim In-na's hosting has been controversial. Previously, she caused a stir by using a term from Ilbe.
