The Netflix series 'Trigger' has canceled its scheduled live event.
On the 21st, Naver announced through its official channel, "This live broadcast has been canceled at the request of the host organization. We ask for your understanding from everyone who has been waiting, and thank you for your broad understanding."
Initially, Naver was set to conduct an exclusive live broadcast of the Netflix series 'Trigger' TALK&SHOT fan event on the afternoon of the 22nd through Naver TV and Chijijik. The event was scheduled to feature lead actors Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang.
While a specific reason for the schedule cancellation has not been disclosed, it appears to be related to the aftermath of a recent murder incident involving a homemade firearm in Songdo, Incheon.
On the 20th, a 60-year-old man surnamed A shot his son, a 30-year-old man surnamed B, with a shotgun loaded with steel pellets during his birthday party attended by his grandson, daughter-in-law, and acquaintances. B was hit in the chest by the pellets shot by A and was transported to a nearby hospital through emergency services after losing consciousness, but ultimately died.
A was apprehended by the police around 12:20 a.m. on the 21st, three hours after the incident occurred, and it is reported that during the police investigation, A confessed to committing the act due to family discord.
Meanwhile, 'Trigger' is a gun disaster action thriller that depicts the story of two men who wield firearms for their own reasons, amid the constant occurrence of gun incidents and the delivery of illegal firearms of unknown origin in Korea, a gun-free country. It will be released on the 25th.
