TOMORROW X TOGETHER conveyed the true meaning of "togetherness."
TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai) revealed all tracks from their 4th full album, "The Star Chapter: TOGETHER," and the music video for the title track, "Beautiful Strangers," at 6 p.m. on the 21st.
The music video portrays boys battling the world to save "you." The active narrative of salvation portrayed by the five members unfolds like a movie, enhancing immersion. They flee to protect their last innocence against the new order looming over the city. The dramatic atmosphere is accentuated by the stark contrast between the brilliant past they wish to hold onto forever and the anxiety-ridden present. Scenes of them precariously passing through a dark tunnel to escape something, and breaking CCTV to hide in abandoned buildings, heighten the tension.
Upon arriving at the shelter, the boys bring out the light they had hidden. However, the countdown signaling the time of parting continues, and a spark ignites in the boys' hearts. The energy of those awakened is visualized in a scene where they throw the spark. The five boys eventually run hand in hand beneath a meteor shower pouring down like an explosion. This intuitively shows TOMORROW X TOGETHER's transition from "I am saved through you" to "I save you."
"Beautiful Strangers" is a hip-hop song in the trap genre that highlights the contrast between dreamlike piano lines and intense synthesizer sounds. It tells the story of "I" growing stronger through the power received from you, and "us" being more beautiful because we are unusual. With this song, TOMORROW X TOGETHER concludes the narrative of "The Star Chapter" that they have been sharing since last year.
Meanwhile, TOMORROW X TOGETHER will hold a comeback showcase at 8 p.m. on the 21st at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall, where they will unveil the performance of the title track for the first time.
