Singer and actor Enok transformed into the 'post-Song Dae-gwan,' delivering an emotional stage and bright energy as a messenger of hope.
Enok was on the first stage of the second part, presenting the mega hit song 'Hae-ddeulnal' by the late Song Dae-gwan during the broadcast of KBS 2TV 'Immortal Songs - Artist the Late Hyun-cheol & Song Dae-gwan Edition' aired for two consecutive weeks on the 12th and 19th, offering both a heavy resonance and overwhelming emotion.
Before the stage, Enok shared the reason for choosing 'Hae-ddeulnal,' saying, "If someone feels a message of hope from watching my stage, I believe I have made the best stage today." She also noted, "There is a lot of pressure as the first performer, but I want to properly convey the message left by my teacher."
Reflecting her determined resolution, Enok captured attention immediately with her outfit that paid homage to Song Dae-gwan and gestures moving to the rhythm. Following a sweet piano performance, she showcased her beautiful tones, captivating the audience's attention. Additionally, the adult choir and children's choir layered harmonies while enjoying the lively rhythm, and Enok's stage boasted a spectacular scale, gradually leading the audience to join in and creating a festive atmosphere.
At the height of the performance, the moment Enok unleashed her powerful high notes, the audience experienced chills and thrills. The stage screen displayed Song Dae-gwan sharing greetings with the audience before his performance of 'Hae-ddeulnal,' alongside a duet performance that evoked feelings of nostalgia and longing, marking one of the best moments of the evening. Many audience members were seen wiping away tears, capturing attention.
From Lee Chan-won's comment, "Tears welled up," to Kim Eui-young saying, "It was a perfect stage that resonated with the audience," Eun Ga-eun noted, "It felt bright enough to forget that Song Dae-gwan sunbae is in the sky," and Hwan Hee stated, "Enok is the one similar to Song Dae-gwan," praise from fellow singers poured in from the waiting room.
Enok herself shed tears after the stage due to her overwhelming emotions. She shared, "The moment I heard my teacher's voice on stage, I felt that the message, 'The bright day will come back,' was something I needed now. I cried without realizing it, and it was hard to hold back." Enok's stage of 'Hae-ddeulnal' amazed everyone by receiving a tremendous score of 402 points from the judging panel.
She also attracted attention by mentioning special memories with Song Dae-gwan. Enok, who often heard that she resembled Song Dae-gwan since childhood, shared an episode from her college days when she sang Song Dae-gwan's 'Ne-bak-ja' and was treated to jjim-dalk by her seniors. She humorously revealed that she watched and studied Kim Soo-chan's impersonation of Song Dae-gwan 500 times to prepare for this stage.
In this way, Enok not only delivered an emotional stage on 'Immortal Songs' but also showcased her humorous sense of humor, capturing the public's attention with her outstanding presence at every moment.
Meanwhile, Enok continues her activities as a singer through various broadcasts and concerts, and her new single album 'You're More Beautiful Than a Rose,' released last month, while recently also entering the Japanese music industry.
