The group TOMORROW X TOGETHER has returned with evolved music and visuals.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER held a showcase celebrating the release of their 4th album "Star's Chapter: TOGETHER" at Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 21st and shared insights about the new album.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who announced their comeback about 8 months after the release of the mini 7th album "Star's Chapter: SANCTUARY" last November, said, "After 1 year and 9 months, I feel thrilled to return with a regular album. I am curious and excited about the response. This album, "Star's Chapter: TOGETHER," feels even more special since 'together' is part of our team name. We will show you a wonderful appearance."
They continued, "We returned with the regular 4th album 'Star's Chapter: TOGETHER'. We worked hard to show an evolved version of ourselves musically and visually. We prepared diligently to ensure our colors shine through in this album too. We will do our best in this activity as well."
TOMORROW X TOGETHER's new album "Star's Chapter: TOGETHER" is a regular album after 1 year and 9 months, telling a story of saving each other and the world through the act of calling each other's names, which is only possible when genuinely empathizing with one another.
Yeonjun commented on this album, "I believe this is the album that captures our team identity the most intensely. One of the advantages of a team album is narrative consistency. In that sense, I think it's a perfect album," while Hueningkai said, "It shows the growth of a boy. It's not easy to create a dense story structure, but we pulled it off."
Then, Beomgyu added, "This album emphasizes the meaning of togetherness a lot. For people like us who work as a team, being together holds great significance. I believe we are creating with many people, and in that sense, the theme of this album resonated well with us."
Additionally, this album includes solo tracks for each member for the first time, allowing the five members to sing about the theme of 'together' from their respective emotions and perspectives. Yeonjun showcases a stylish edge with "Ghost Girl," Soobin displays a bright and lovely side through "Sunday Driver," Hueningkai reveals a sexy twist in "Dance With You," Beomgyu infused his own sentiment into "Take My Half," which he participated in producing, and Taehyun participated in the writing and composing of "Bird of Night," showcasing delicate expressiveness.
The title track "Beautiful Strangers" tells the story of 'me' growing with the strength received from 'you' and 'us' being more beautiful because of our uniqueness. The speaker, realizing the magical power of being able to call your name, infuses this active attitude into a sweet melody and intense accompaniment.
In particular, member Yeonjun participated in the choreography creation for this new song, further highlighting the team's identity.
The members explained about the new song, "This is a track that wraps up the narrative of 'Star's Chapter.' If you watch the performance, you will be able to dive deeper into the song. The choreography created by Yeonjun himself is really cool. There are many dance breaks, making it a great song to showcase performances."
Hueningkai said, "As soon as I heard this song, I pictured our performance on stage. Since it's a symbolic song that wraps up the narrative, it also brings to mind the journey so far, and I hope we can convey the emotional line genuinely," and Yeonjun mentioned, "In a word, it was intense itself."
Yeonjun stated, "I've worked on other choreographies, but this was the first for the title track. I participated in many aspects, including the dance breaks and choruses. It was fun. When I first heard it, I thought it would be cool to do it this way. Thankfully, it got confirmed more smoothly than I expected, and I approached rehearsals with gratitude. I hope you focus on the three different dance breaks as they are points to watch. I hope you see the changes that differ from before."
He added, "We started with the first dance break, but that part didn't come together well at first. It took a lot of time, but once we figured it out, it flowed smoothly. We completed it within two days. Everyone did so well that it was hard to pick just one. I'm grateful that everyone followed along so well, but if I had to choose one, it would be Soobin. He followed along well and brought my feeling to life, and the fans seemed to respond well too."
In response, Soobin said, "I helped a lot with the details. During the learning process, we adjusted the choreography in real-time, and paying attention to details raised the quality."
As TOMORROW X TOGETHER nears their 7th year, in response to questions about contract renewal, they said, "We are currently discussing it with the members, and all five of us share the same opinion: we are happy together and want to perform more, so while it's under discussion, I dare say we can bring you positive news."
They added, "I know the fans are worried, but I hope you're not too concerned. We still really love making music, and we are working hard to show our colors, so I hope you're not worried about that."
Lastly, regarding their future goals, Taehyun expressed, "In my 6 to 7 years of activities, some of the goals have been achieved, and there are also things that I regret, but I believe having big dreams means that when they shatter, the fragments are larger, so I will aim high. I want to be number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100."
