"Pursuing Old Encounters" Park Kwang-jae conveyed his sincerity toward Kang Se-jeong.
The episode of KBS Joy, KBS2, and GTV's "Pursuing Old Encounters" that aired on the 21st depicted the final 1:1 dinner date.
On this day, Park Kwang-jae's final date partner was Park Eun-hye. Since they had the last date together following their first date, Park Eun-hye remarked, "I feel more comfortable than when we first met," and Park Kwang-jae also conveyed, "I think I will still be comfortable with Eun-hye even after it's over."
During their first date, where they bought lottery tickets together, Park Kwang-jae joked, "The talk came from our side. If this (the lottery) wins, what will we do? We decided to split it exactly 50-50. And with the winning amount, let's travel together as eight people; I'll cover all expenses. Of course, I said that Eun-hye would pay."
Park Eun-hye, through her appearance on "Pursuing Old Encounters," expressed, "It feels like unexpected friendships are forming. If our hearts align better there, we might meet more often," while Park Kwang-jae noted, "So for instance, since I work in the same field as Eun-hye, we could meet, but the fact that we haven't yet means we might not meet until the end."
He mentioned, "I'm personally curious, did you feel the slightest bit jealous?" while referencing his date with Kang Se-jeong. Park Eun-hye responded, "How should I say this? Honestly, to be frank, I didn't feel jealous at all. On the first day, I told Se-jeong that I thought you would match well, and even while being here, I said to Se-jeong that it would be nice if Kwang-jae got married. I thought the two of them looked really good together. I hope it becomes a good relationship, whether they become lovers or friends."
The two checked the lottery at a rice soup restaurant but neither of them won. Afterward, Park Kwang-jae inquired, "I'm also curious about Eun-hye. If you had to choose from among four people, what decision would you make?" Park Eun-hye replied, "Honestly, I wanted to eat with a new person, but on the other hand, since it happened naturally with Ki-chan twice, I also wanted to have a meal with Ki-chan. But it seems like Kwang-jae had some things he couldn't casually talk about during our first meeting, so I also thought it would be nice to have a relaxed meal together," and then she asked, "How do you feel right now?"
Park Kwang-jae stated, "I'm really struggling with that right now. What should I do?" Park Eun-hye replied, "The person your heart is drawn to is definitely Se-jeong, isn't it? What aspects did you like the most?" Park Kwang-jae responded, "Honestly, I've had things like a 'some' before and held hands, but it didn't feel like that. I thought, 'What is this?' I was really nervous. I told myself to hold on tight. Is my heart not good? During that moment, I felt like I absolutely didn't want to let go of that hand. Do you remember what I said during our first day introductions? 'I have lost my innocence but remain a man with purity.' So, I've felt a lot about expecting such purity this time. I realize I'm someone who lives with this kind of excitement."
Park Eun-hye remarked, "When I see a solo man in his 40s around me, it usually doesn't make me excited. If I felt excitement here, isn't that something to be thankful for and happy about? That's why Kwang-jae might feel more cautious." Park Kwang-jae admitted, "One of my shortcomings is my timidity. Even if I like someone, I can't be proactive. What if they dislike me? I think it's too good, but I wonder if I can handle the responsibility and regret of my choice."
Then Park Eun-hye responded, "That's a problem everyone struggles with." He added, "Kwang-jae is sincere. I wanted to give Kwang-jae some courage," and then he asked Park Kwang-jae, "Who among the eight is the most frightening?" Park Kwang-jae replied, "It's Eun-hye," and Park Eun-hye encouraged him, "Right. You need to be braver than me. You're feeling excitement for the first time since you turned 40. So, challenge yourself, and if it doesn't work out, then be happy with that. Taking this kind of challenge after turning 40... just go straight for it."
Park Kwang-jae joked, "Did you come from a matchmaking agency?" yet he also stated, "You've shared a lot of really good advice. I jokingly asked if you were the owner of a matchmaking agency since you provided so much good advice, and that talking to you made me feel more certain about things." To this, Park Eun-hye replied, "I wish you the best. I support your love."
