'I'm Sunny Thank You' caught the audience's attention with Sunny's lively charm.
On the 19th broadcast of MBC's 'I'm Sunny Thank You', the 'Sunnys' Kang So-ra, Kim Bo-mi, Kim Min-young, and Lee Eun-ji traveled to Yangshuo, a representative resort in Guangxi, China. The genuine chemistry among friends, laughter-inducing comedic talent, and Yangshuo's exotic scenery combined to provide a vicarious sense of a healing journey.
On this day, the Sunnys showcased their candid wit during a brief segment titled 'Ideal Type World Cup.' First, Kang So-ra said, "My ideal type should have a good physique and a humorous face," citing Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth as her ideal. When Lee Eun-ji vigorously agreed, Kang So-ra playfully responded, "What? Are you my rival?" causing laughter.
At this point, Kim Min-young asked Kang So-ra and Kim Bo-mi directly, "Is your current husband your ideal type?" creating an awkward silence in the car. A flustered Kang So-ra and Kim Bo-mi scrambled, stating, "We need to edit this out," and lamented, "We must protect our families," which brought laughter to the scene.
Kim Bo-mi opened up about her love story with her husband, whom she sensed she would marry from the early stages of their relationship, saying, "He spoke so beautifully and listened to me well. That's why I confessed my feelings first, begging for an hour." In response, Kang So-ra remarked, "He listened so well back then, but now I have to call him ten times for him to respond," highlighting the amusing reality of married life.
In response to Lee Eun-ji's statement of wanting to get married, Kang So-ra gave a candid piece of advice, saying, "Don't rush, life is long." Kang So-ra married a doctor eight years her senior in 2020 and has two daughters.
Meanwhile, Lee Eun-ji made the amusing revelation that she had a 'self-dating rumor' by saying, "We held hands and went on a date at the Han River, but no one cared about it," and ultimately expressed her feelings by saying, "Please contact me if you don't mind being on camera."
In the midst of this, the scenery of a mysterious travel destination, reminiscent of a KITA novel, captured attention. Observing the mountains with protruding peaks, Kang So-ra humorously revealed, "I became fascinated with Chinese culture while censoring KITA novels that had boogers while working part-time at a comic book store."
Upon arriving at the Yangshuo resort, the Sunnys expressed their admiration for the nature-integrated accommodation, saying, "It feels like Bali," and immediately headed to the pool to start their water activities. Kang So-ra's 'dust-off dance,' Kim Bo-mi's 'scarf lizard dance,' and Kim Min-young's peacock ceremony provided the Sunnys with enough comedic talent to bring laughter.
In the subsequent swimming competition, Kim Min-young achieved a dramatic comeback victory with a burst of speed, while Kim Bo-mi and Lee Eun-ji engaged in an underwater brawl level water fight. MC Patricia, who observed this, laughed heartily, saying, "This was the most exciting swimming competition I've seen."
During spa time, a skit relay followed. Kim Min-young humorously portrayed various characters such as a real estate agent, beautician, and con artist, causing bursts of laughter, while Kang So-ra joked, "If Min-young played a con artist, she would have nailed it."
In the evening, they concluded the day by tasting an exotic dish called 'Pijiyouyi' (a fish dish braised in beer) against the backdrop of the river view at 'Wuryongha.' At the end of the broadcast, a preview of the next travel course to be set on a golden dragon raft heightened anticipation for the Sunnys' healing journey.
