Actress Gwyneth Paltrow's past sadness over the marriage news of her former lover, actor Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Aniston has been revealed in a new biography.
U.S. entertainment media US Weekly recently disclosed some details from 'Gwyneth: A Biography,' which is scheduled for release on the 29th. The book is a biography that sheds light on Paltrow's relationships with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck and her career anecdotes. The author, Amy Odell, noted that when Paltrow heard news of Pitt marrying Jennifer Aniston, she "tried not to show emotions on the outside, but was very sad on the inside."
In particular, during a promotion for the film 'Duets' at the 2000 Toronto International Film Festival, when a reporter asked about Pitt's marriage, Paltrow reacted sharply, saying, "Are you really asking me this question?" He hid his feelings at the time but is also reported to have told acquaintances, "Brad has no eye for women."
The two became lovers while filming 'Se7en' and got engaged in 1996, but broke up the following year. According to the book, Pitt felt intimidated by Paltrow's career success, and her makeup artist, Kevin Aucoin, advised her that "this relationship should end."
Pitt later married Aniston in 2000, but divorced in 2005 amid affair rumors with Angelina Jolie. At the time, Paltrow is also claimed to have stated to an Estee Lauder official at a dinner that "Brad is dumber than a sack of s–t."
Paltrow reflected on her breakup with Pitt during her appearance on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast last year, stating, "I was heartbroken at the time, but it was the right choice then."
