VVUP (Kim, Fan, Suyeon, Jiyoon) met with global fans at the 'K-MEGA CONCERT IN ULAANBAATAR' held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on the 19th (local time).
In particular, member Kim took charge of the concert as a co-MC alongside Mongolian broadcaster Nyambayar Renchinjugder. Although it was his first time as an MC on a large stage, Kim naturally drew responses from the local audience and contributed to creating a venue for genuine cultural exchange between Korea and Mongolia through K-pop. Kim noted, "It was my first time as an MC for a large concert, so I was very nervous until the start, but thanks to the passionate response from Mongolian fans, I was able to enjoy the event. It was truly meaningful to connect with the Mongolian fans."
VVUP also took the stage at the 'K-MEGA CONCERT IN ULAANBAATAR' and delivered energetic performances one after another. First, VVUP announced their arrival as 'highteen troublemakers' with catchy and hip moves to the addictive beat of 'Doo Doom Chit.'
Next, with 'Locked On,' they delivered a lively performance by adding a variety of facial expressions and gestures, and with 'Giddy Boy,' they showcased unwavering live vocals even amidst continuous intense choreography, proving their skills in front of global fans. The audience also responded with loud cheers, singing along to VVUP's songs, demonstrating VVUP's remarkable growth in the local scene.
Meanwhile, with their debut single album 'Locked On,' VVUP made a splash in the music industry by entering the iTunes K-POP chart in major overseas music markets, including the U.S. and the U.K., emerging as a 'global rookie.' They are showing unlimited growth potential with exceptional skills in vocals, rap, and dance.
Thanks to their popularity both domestically and internationally, VVUP won the 'Rising Star' award at the 34th Seoul Music Awards. VVUP topped the final voting in the 'Rising Star' institutional sector with overwhelming support from fans worldwide, increasing interest in their future activities.
