Singer Sung Si-kyung revealed a dermatology procedure vlog through the content 'I will decorate it,' amid concerns from some netizens about the "excessive treatment costs."
On the 18th, Sung Si-kyung released a new video titled 'Diagnosing personal color and skin treatment!! (7.5 million won flex! Paid by me!)' on his YouTube channel 'Sung Si Kyung SUNG SI KYUNG.' The video shows the process where Sung Si-kyung received skin care while paying for treatment costs amounting to about 726,000 won.
In the video, Sung Si-kyung stated, "I came to get skin care before the album jacket shooting," directly visiting the clinic. It also included details about the costs during the consultation: 3.3 million won for 600 shots of thermage, 1.65 million won for 300 shots of Ulthera, and 770,000 won for 2cc of Rejuran.
Later, Sung Si-kyung humorously exclaimed, "I am going to spend a lot of money to look pretty," after making a one-time payment, urging, "Just don't let me look ugly." However, after the video was released, there have been mixed reactions in online communities.
The reason was the excessive treatment costs. Some netizens pointed out, "Even a dermatology specialist hospital isn't this expensive," "I don't think anyone will go to that hospital because of this video," "They must be targeting like hyenas, knowing I have money and don't understand the world," and "726,000 won? What did I just see?" indicating that the treatment costs are excessively high.
In fact, the dermatology clinic shown in the video was introduced as a hospital of Sung Si-kyung's acquaintance, yet aside from emphasizing that it was 'paid by me,' there were reactions questioning, "It is even more astonishing that this amount was paid at a friend's hospital."
Earlier, in the first episode of the content 'I will decorate it,' Sung Si-kyung faced criticism regarding his styling. Some viewers reacted sharply, demanding a change of stylist, to which Sung Si-kyung clarified, "It's not that I'm trying to become a super stylish sexy guy, but rather, it's content about a middle-aged man in his 40s who didn't know about clothes and fashion slowly learning."
He also urged, "Please refrain from excessive criticism; it's okay to say those things to me, but I feel sorry for the participants," asking for moderation in criticism.
