This is why people seem to make money… Kim So-young's 'newlywed reform house' revealed after selling for 9.6 billion won
Recently, it was reported that broadcaster Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young made a capital gain of about 7 billion won from the sale of real estate worth 9.6 billion won, and Kim So-young attracted attention again by revealing part of the house she newly moved into. Reflecting the reality of a working mom, netizens expressed their empathy, saying, "This is why people want to make money."
Earlier on the 10th, a media outlet reported that Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young purchased a building in Hannam-dong, Seoul, co-owned with person A, for about 2.3 billion won in 2017, and recently sold it for 9.6 billion won. This results in a capital gain of over 7 billion won in six years, earning them the reputation of being 'the investment couple representing the entertainment industry.'
In line with this, Kim So-young released a video introducing her new home's master bedroom through her social media on the 19th. She noted, "The furniture and household items have mostly remained unchanged since our newlywed days, but there are a few things that have changed since moving. I'll show you each completed part as it comes together," previewing a 'virtual housewarming.'
The revealed video showed the master bedroom decorated with a neat and warm atmosphere, with reading stands and piles of books noticeable on either side of the bed. Kim So-young shared her daily life, saying, "We tend to read a lot before bed, so we have stands on both sides. We keep the books piled up like a buffet and read them little by little."
What particularly drew attention was a mirror that had been used for over ten years and a bed that she claims was the only item changed since her marriage. Kim So-young mentioned, "This mirror was bought by my husband before we got married," adding, "At that time, it was quite expensive based on my salary, but I still use it very well." She humorously advised, "What I want to say to newlyweds is don't think you'll always be cuddling in a small bed; buy a big one."
Meanwhile, Kim So-young recently appeared on KBS2's 'Problem Child in House', showcasing her life as a CEO leading four brands in addition to running a bookstore, revealing her aspect as a 'super working mom.' In the show, when asked why she doesn't go into business with her husband, she joked, "My husband doesn't make money well and is a source of joy," eliciting laughter from the cast.
Netizens reacted, saying, "Both of them are wise and stylish," "They are good at real estate and decorating spaces," "Kim So-young's tone gives more trust," and "They seem to live quietly but have it all," showing consistent interest.
