Head of Team Kwon Seon-hee from 'Steel Troops W' opened up about her same-sex partner.
On the 18th, Kwon Seon-hee held her first live broadcast with her partner after coming out via personal social media.
Kwon Seon-hee's girlfriend appeared wearing a mask and explained her reason, saying, "I am an ordinary person, but I have received a lot of news coverage. I have private matters to consider, so I need to keep some things hidden," and Kwon Seon-hee said, "We have made a request on our feed, but my partner is an ordinary person. I hope her face is well hidden when this is reported."
Kwon Seon-hee requested, "I can expose my face a lot, but my partner has private matters and works at a company, so I hope she can please stay hidden."
Earlier, Kwon Seon-hee received questions before the live broadcast. She said, "Many people ask about my age. There are many who think I am older, but my girlfriend is older than me." Kwon Seon-hee was born in 1997, and her girlfriend was born in 1996, meaning there is a one-year age difference.
The two also began to talk about their first meeting. However, their recollections of the first meeting were somewhat different. First, the girlfriend recalled, "In December 2024, I went to a taco place near work, and I was surprised to see Seon-hee there. She looked unhappy and seemed a bit aloof. I glanced at her, and it looked like she was about to leave. But she was too tall. She was tall enough to touch the ceiling."
Kwon Seon-hee remembered their first meeting as occurring around March or April of this year. She shared, "I was picking out bread at a bakery and thought I would definitely be unrecognizable because I was wearing a mask. My sister glanced at me and smiled. She was so pretty," adding, "My sister said, 'You were on Steel Troops, right?' and I greeted her. I remembered her smile because it was so beautiful."
After that, Kwon Seon-hee visited the bakery again and said she saw her girlfriend once more. She explained, "Her back looked so great, and I felt excited. So, I asked her for a direct message, but she didn't give it to me. After that, my life felt as though it changed from black and white to color, and the world looked bright. I thought, 'So this is what it feels like to be excited.'"
Her girlfriend spoke about what led her to open up, saying, "Seon-hee took really good care of me. She wrote me many letters and showed consideration. When I asked her, 'I'm a woman, is that okay?' she said, 'I don't care,' and held my hand. Her courage was incredible." Kwon Seon-hee added, "I'm just doing what feels right. When it's someone you like, what else matters?"
Meanwhile, Kwon Seon-hee gained recognition last year when she appeared as the Head of Team on the Channel A entertainment program 'Steel Troops W.' She is actively communicating with fans via social media while also balancing her fitness and freelance modeling activities. Recently, she came out saying she has a girlfriend and is in a romantic relationship.
