Actor Lee Soo-hyuk of 'S-Line' exploded over his nephew's fatal fall incident.
On Nov. 11, the first episode of the Wave original 'S-Line' was released, revealing a fantasy thriller in which a forbidden desire and hidden truth unfold as the red line, known as the S-Line, begins to appear between those who have sexual relationships. Right after its launch, it perfectly captivated viewers, recording the number one spot in new paid subscriptions on Wave and ranking first among drama viewership users, gathering a hot response. In this, Lee Soo-hyuk plays the role of detective Han Ji-wook, who tracks the secret of the S-Line, focusing attention with his persistent performance.
In the 3rd and 4th episodes, Ji-wook's niece Seon-ah (played by Lee Eun-sam) fell from the school rooftop and was left in critical condition, prompting Ji-wook to begin tracking the reality of the S-Line, gradually getting closer to the secret. Ji-wook was shocked to learn that Seon-ah fell from the rooftop due to someone else's actions. Unsurprisingly, when Seon-ah's fall accident was concluded to be a suicide, he was furious and began to investigate the case separately.
After visiting Seon-ah's friend Hyun-hup (played by Arin) and asking her about Seon-ah, he was startled to hear that Seon-ah had changed after obtaining glasses that allow her to see the so-called 'S-Line.' However, despite his skepticism regarding the glasses, Ji-wook ended up obtaining the glasses that Hyun-hup mentioned at the next murder scene, raising his curiosity about the upcoming developments.
So far, Lee Soo-hyuk has been active in various works and genres, from historical dramas to modern dramas and fantasy, building his own filmography and establishing his unique genre as an actor. In particular, in 'S-Line,' he has embodied a character that captures the realism of solving cases within a fantasy context, receiving praise for being an indispensable presence, completing the drama with his nonchalant yet persistent performance. As 'S-Line' approaches its ending, curiosity is rising about what further achievements Lee Soo-hyuk will showcase.
Meanwhile, the Wave original drama 'S-Line,' starring Lee Soo-hyuk, was officially invited to the long-form competition category of the 8th Cannes International Series Festival, winning the first Korean music award, thus recognizing its artistic value. The 5th episode and the final episode will be released next Friday (25th) at 11 a.m. through Wave.
