The 'Immortal Songs' postponed its recording in Ulsan due to flood damage and warnings.
On the 19th, the production team of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' issued an official statement noting, "The recording scheduled for today at the Tae-Hwa River National Garden in Namgu was inevitably postponed due to the unusual flood damage and flood warnings in the Ulsan area."
The production team explained, "We express our condolences to all those affected by the flood damage and will confirm the new recording schedule as soon as the damage is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience."
This recording postponement is due to the heavy rainfall that has poured down in the southern region. According to the Ulsan City, the average accumulated precipitation from the previous day to 10 a.m. on this day was recorded at 137.8 mm. When separated by regions, the area with the highest rainfall was Du-seo-myeon in Ulju-gun, where 281 mm of rain fell.
As rain poured over the Ulsan area, the Tae-Hwa River, where the recording was scheduled, could not escape damage. At 5:40 a.m. on this day, a flood warning was issued at the Samyeon Bridge, which is located upstream, and 15 minutes later, a flood advisory was announced at the Tae-Hwa Bridge located in the midstream.
A netizen living in the nearby area shared photos of the 'Immortal Songs' stage, revealing chairs and equipment submerged in water. Ultimately, 'Immortal Songs' decided to postpone the recording and quickly released a notice.
Originally, the 'Immortal Songs - Rock Festival in Ulsan' episode was set to feature legendary bands that transcend generations, including the Kim Chang-wan Band, the rock stage master Jeon In-kwon Band, the explosive rock essence Seomun-tak, the energetic rock icon Cherry Filter, the representative emotional rock ballad group FT Island, the happy virus of the band world Solar, the distinctive emotional band Jannabi, the skillful band Lucy known for their sensory sound, and the rapidly growing popular band Touched.
In particular, this rock festival is a special episode of 'Immortal Songs' returning after two years, with renowned bands listed in the lineup, but the production team postponed the recording to prevent greater damage due to the flooding.
