Bangkok, Thailand was themed around the group ENHYPEN. The local community and various collaborations received support from the Thai Minister of Culture, who contributed an official speech.
HYBE has been conducting fan participation events associated with ENHYPEN's world tour 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'WALK THE LINE' IN BANGKOK' since May, offering a variety of local specialized programs utilizing ENHYPEN's IP around Bangkok, providing fans with a differentiated cultural experience beyond just watching the performance.
Limited edition transportation cards featuring ENHYPEN's likeness were released and gained popularity, and the photo booths installed in the city captured the attention of visitors. Large outdoor advertisements for ENHYPEN were displayed at major urban facilities, including the entrance to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, highlighting their high popularity and status.
The ENHYPEN-themed room package, created in collaboration with a famous hotel, sold out in just three minutes. The F&B collaboration was also popular, with a total of 116 stores from six Thai food and beverage brands showcasing food and drinks adorned with ENHYPEN's name, logo, and official colors, with about 40,000 ENHYPEN-themed menu items sold.
A special collaboration with the popular local character Butterbear received great acclaim. The Butterbear character illustrations dressed in ENHYPEN's tour outfits were prominently used on F&B packages, stickers, postcards, and more, seamlessly integrating into the daily lives of both fans and citizens.
Notably, Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, who served as the Thai Minister of Culture until last month, sent an official speech commending HYBE and ENHYPEN for their contributions to spreading Thai culture internationally.
Minister Sudawan said, "They creatively showed 'Thai-ness' by producing promotional materials that combine traditional Thai architecture with the identity of a modern city" and noted, "This event is highly valuable and commendable in terms of culture, entertainment, and economic revitalization."
He also added, "Inviting internationally renowned Korean artists to Thailand provides a joyful and impressive experience for fans and the Thai people" and emphasized that he values this visionary activity aimed at enhancing the country's positive image and promoting sustainable international goodwill.
ENHYPEN's fan participation event in Bangkok will continue until the end of this month.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN gathered over 30,000 ENGENEs (the fandom name) at the Rajamangala National Stadium, the largest concert hall in Thailand, on the 21st of last month, enjoying an electrifying time. They will continue their stadium performances in Osaka next month, following shows in Tokyo on the 5th and 6th. Additionally, they will meet ENGENEs during their world tour 'WALK THE LINE' in 10 cities across the United States and Europe in August and September, and in Singapore in October.
