In 'Salim Nam 2,' Park Young-kyu showed a troubled heart ahead of his health examination.
The episode of KBS2TV's 'Salim Nam 2' aired on the 19th, featuring Park Young-kyu, who is undertaking a health examination for the first time in 73 years. At 73 years old, he was someone who did not even undergo national health screenings. In fact, he held the belief of rather not knowing and dying than knowing a diagnosis.
What turned his heart around was his 25-year-younger wife and his beloved stepdaughter, who is close to the age of his granddaughter.
His wife said, "I'm worried about my husband. Since he is older, I'm concerned that illnesses or diseases that could arise regardless of his will might be found." Park Young-kyu remarked, "What if I encounter a hidden trouble during the health examination? It's hard for me, and I don't want to imagine my wife knowing how difficult that would be."
The day before the examination, Park Young-kyu lay in bed and called for his wife. He surprised her by saying, "Honey, can you live alone without me? How would you and our two daughters manage?" Then he continued, "There's a safe over there. Don't you want to know what's inside?" and added, "The numbers and various documents are all in there," leaving everyone shocked as if he were making a will.
