Broadcaster Kim So-young held a virtual housewarming for her newly moved-in home.
Kim So-young said on the 19th, "Today, I will introduce the master bedroom. In fact, the master bedroom hasn't changed much in terms of furniture or household items since my newlywed days, but there have been some changes since moving in this time," and explained, "I haven't been able to decorate the whole house to my liking yet, but I will show you bits of it as each part gets completed."
In the video she released, Kim So-young said, "The master bedroom has become the most cramped since moving in. We tend to read a lot before sleeping, which makes it a feature that we use reading stands on both sides of the bed. I stack the books I'm reading here like a buffet and read them a little bit at a time until I fall asleep."
She continued, "The biggest change since moving in is that a makeup table has been added," and said, "This mirror was bought before I got married to my husband, and at that time, it was a very expensive mirror considering my salary and situation. I was like, 'Wow, it's so pretty,' and my husband bought it for me. I've been using it well for a very long time—over 10 years."
She advised, "I have hardly changed any furniture since getting married, but I did change one thing for a considerable amount of money. That is, of course, the bed. My advice for newlyweds is not to think that you will always be cuddling and to invest in a big bed."
Meanwhile, Kim So-young and Oh Sang-jin developed a romantic relationship from being senior and junior announcers at MBC and got married in April 2017 after two years of dating. Additionally, Kim So-young left MBC in 2017 and has been working as a freelance broadcaster, while also running various businesses such as a bookstore and a curation shop.
Recently, news emerged that the couple of Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young realized a capital gain of 7 billion won from an investment in a building in Hannam-dong. On the 10th, a media outlet reported that Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young recently sold a building located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, which they jointly purchased with person A for 2.3 billion won in 2017, for 9.6 billion won.
