Singer Moon Hee-jun revealed that his son Hee-woo is battling thrombocytopenia and urged parents to be cautious.
On the 18th, the YouTube channel 'Jaemi House' released a video of Moon Hee-jun and his family's hospital visit. In the video, Moon Hee-jun expressed his sadness while caring for his son Hee-woo, who is hospitalized, along with his daughter Hee-yul.
Hee-yul explained, "Hee-woo bumped his head on the stairs," detailing the process of how her brother got hurt and ended up in the hospital during their vacation. Moon Hee-jun looked at the IV in Hee-woo's hand and said, "I reassure him that it's over every time he gets a shot, but it really breaks my heart. Fortunately, he is sleeping well now."
His wife So-yul cautiously explained Hee-woo's condition, saying, "Hee-woo was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia. He has received treatment twice, but his levels have dropped, and he is undergoing treatment again this time."
Moon Hee-jun revealed the reason for posting this video, stating, "Thrombocytopenia does not have symptoms like a cold, such as coughing or fever. Bruising easily or having red spots on the skin are the main signals," and emphasized, "Active children can bruise often, so it's easy to overlook, but I hope you definitely go to the hospital and get tested."
He added, "Hee-woo is an energetic child, and he finds hospitalization very difficult. He even talks in his sleep, saying he wants to go out," expressing his sadness.
Earlier, Moon Hee-jun visited the hospital due to his anxious feelings after his son bumped his head during their vacation, and the blood test results showed that Hee-woo's platelet levels were dangerously low, leading to an emergency transfer to a hospital in Seoul for admission.
So-yul expressed relief, stating, "Fortunately, there are no fractures or bleeding, and he only needs treatment," but Moon Hee-jun emphasized, "If there is bleeding, the problem with thrombocytopenia is that it doesn't stop easily, so we must be especially careful with the head. It's most important not to get hurt."
Finally, Moon Hee-jun conveyed his heartfelt wish, saying, "According to the doctor, most children recover after receiving treatment three times. I only hope for a quick recovery."
