"Park Bo-gum's Cantabile" Sunwoo Jung-a and Super Junior showcased their witty talk and a packed stage.
On the 18th, KBS2TV's music entertainment show "Park Bo-gum's Cantabile" featured Super Junior, who released an album while celebrating their 20th anniversary, and the famous singer-songwriter Sunwoo Jung-a.
Starting with "Miracle," Super Junior donned semi-formal attire with short jackets and wide pants, flaunting their "idol power." Lee Teuk said, "Let's start this 20-year history with a miracle!" receiving cheers before the performance.
The second song was "U," and the third song was "Mr. Simple." They were famous for hits, nearly all of which were chart-toppers, as they reached a climax with "Sorry Sorry" and filled the stage with "Devil."
They also cleverly greeted the audience with their debut introductions. Lee Teuk said, "Hello. I am Lee Teuk, the angel without wings from Super Junior," Donghae said, "Hello, I am Donghae, wider than the East Sea," Kim Hee-chul noted, "I am Kim Hee-chul, appearing on 'Round Up 2,'" and Kyuhyun said, "I am Kyuhyun, the newly joined youngest member," bringing smiles.
Lee Teuk humorously shared, "Actually, 10 years ago I worried whether our skin was okay, or if our knee joints were fine, but now everything is okay. You all are fine, right?" relieving the struggles of their 20th year debut.
Ryeowook revealed why he appeared, saying, "I thought I had to be on 'Cantabile' as a vocalist, so I called everyone to join," while Eunhyuk added, "He said he wanted to see Park Bo-gum."
So, what were their thoughts? Lee Teuk remarked, "Honestly, it's amazing. At the start of our debut, I thought it was wonderful to be active for five years, but now it's been 20 years. I told the fans that it's too precious to have come this far, so I hope they will support us for the 30th and 40th anniversaries."
Next, Sunwoo Jung-a appeared. Her song "The Crow" was a lively yet soothing piece. Sunwoo Jung-a explained, "This is from my second full album released in 2013 and captures my true self as I have been actively making music."
When mentioning Sunwoo Jung-a, one cannot miss the song "Let's Run Away." This song, which touched many celebrities and the public, had a unique backstory. Park Bo-gum shared, "I listened to it while attending graduate school. I heard that you must listen to this song while writing thesis. What was your mindset when creating this song?" he asked with teary eyes.
Sunwoo Jung-a said, "I ran away after having a fight with my spouse in our early married days. It felt good. Running away helped me release my feelings, and we had some deep conversations. After living like that, there was a season when my spouse had a tough time. This song was written to comfort that person. It felt good to run away, so I wrote this song with the sentiment of 'let's go together.'"
