Dimo Rex (DIMO REX) will unveil the video for 'BANGER #2 (Live with WeTheFriend)' at 6 p.m. on the 18th through the official SNS. Earlier, Dimo Rex drew attention when they released the first banger video featuring fellow musicians.
The banger videos capture Dimo Rex singing and engaging with friends in an outdoor space in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, from day to night while riding the rhythm. Especially, it vividly depicts a scene where everyone enjoys the music and mood of the moment freely, regardless of place and time, creating a 'banger' atmosphere.
Banger is an English slang term meaning 'something very excellent and impressive,' and it is often used in the music field to refer to 'a good song.' Unlike busking, bangers allow fellow musicians to express music freely anywhere, and anyone can participate. Dimo Rex is leading the banger culture in Korea for the first time.
Previously, Dimo Rex teased the visualizer for 'Portal' (포털), leading to various speculations about their identity featured in the video. As the music release confirmed that the protagonist is Bang Ye-dam, they have garnered even more attention. Bang Ye-dam is expected to break the boundaries of their musical spectrum through their persona Dimo Rex, which embodies another aspect of themselves.
