The group god member and actor Yoon Kye-sang revealed the reason for his departure from the group.
On the afternoon of 17th, a video titled '"I proposed on our second meeting" - Yoon Kye-sang reveals everything from his newlywed life to the reunion of god (first appearance on YouTube, CEO's wife)' was released on the YouTube channel 'Hello, this is Choi Hwa-jung.'
On that day, Choi Hwa-jung asked, "Why did the popular god disband?" and Yoon Kye-sang stated, "To put it simply, the five of us were too pure. I think we were greatly swayed by the adults' influence back then. We had misunderstandings accumulate, which led to us being torn apart."
So what was the reason they were able to come together again? Yoon Kye-sang explained, "The biggest reason was Tae-woo's will. We met on the program 'One Table' and talked it out. Two years later, the album was released. As we got older, I came to understand."
In December 2014, after a 12-year hiatus, god announced a full reunion and has since been meeting with fans through concerts for over 10 years. When asked about his feelings meeting fans after the reunion, Yoon Kye-sang recalled, "There were many misunderstandings that I had stopped being a part of god to pursue acting, and I really received a lot of criticism from fans. I was so scared to be on stage because I thought that many people disliked me."
Yoon Kye-sang said, "I don't even know how I got up there. It was so scary and nerve-wracking that I thought about running away. Once the stage opened and the cheers came, everything (vanished). I don't know how much I cried that day," and added, "I felt I had done so well."
Earlier, god debuted in the music industry in 1999 with 'To My Mother' and received much love through the variety show 'Childcare Diary.' Additionally, they had several hit songs such as 'Love You, and Remember You,' 'Sadness,' 'Lie,' 'A Single Candle,' 'Sky Blue Balloon,' and 'Path.'
After the fifth album's activities ended and the contract with the management company expired, god fell into a long hiatus, during which Yoon Kye-sang left the group. The members of god continued to work as a four-member group by releasing songs such as 'Ordinary Day' and 'The Reason I'm Attracted to the Opposite,' and regrouped as a whole again in 2014, releasing the single 'The Ugly Duckling' after 12 years.
